Release Date for the Snipes x Saucony ‘City Lights’ Collection

Snipes x Saucony: The City Lights Collection

German-based retailer Snipes is making waves in the sneaker world again with their latest collaboration, this time teaming up with Saucony for the exclusive “City Lights” collection. Hot on the heels of their special-edition Timberland 6-Inch Premium Waterproof Boot released back in November, this new collaboration features two timeless Y2K-inspired models, underscoring Snipes’ knack for blending nostalgia with forward-thinking design.

Unveiling the Collection

The City Lights collection comprises the ProGrid Omni 9 and the Ride Millennium—two iconic sneaker models that have been reimagined to fit a contemporary urban aesthetic. Each pair showcases a striking reflective silver base paired with vibrant neon purple accents. This design choice not only gives the sneakers a fresh look but also cleverly ties into the project’s city-inspired narrative, evoking the vibrant pulse of urban life.

Marketing Through Adventure

To bring the City Lights theme to life, Snipes strategically enlisted parkour athletes Travis Nguyen, Chloe Reynolds, and Ramcis Valdez for their marketing campaign. The athletes are seen scaling high rises and navigating scaffolding in the eye-catching sneakers, which brilliantly highlight their high-visibility colors. Accompanying stunning still visuals, a one-minute video captures the trio as they traverse various urban landscapes—showcasing the sneakers not just as footwear, but as a lifestyle choice for the adventurous at heart.

A Look at Saucony’s Heritage

The ProGrid Omni 9, released originally in 2010, has since earned its place as a staple in Saucony’s modern lifestyle lineup. Its classic design and renowned performance features have made it a popular choice in various collaborations, including partnerships with well-known designers and retailers alike. Meanwhile, the Ride Millennium, although less celebrated, presents a budget-friendly option for those wanting to embrace the early 2000s running aesthetic, offering comfort and style in one package.

Expanding the Lifestyle Lineup

Beyond the City Lights collaboration, Saucony is continually diversifying its lifestyle offerings. Recently, the brand unveiled new styles of the ProGrid Guide 7 and ProGrid Paramount. At Paris Fashion Week, Saucony also previewed upcoming fall 2026 styles, hinting at a robust roadmap for the future, including updates to iconic models like the Kinvara 1 S and ProGrid Triumph 4.

Availability and Pricing

The Snipes x Saucony City Lights collection is set for early reservations via the Snipes Reserve app beginning January 28, followed by a wider release on January 30 through snipesusa.com and physical Snipes stores. The ProGrid Omni 9 will retail at $155, while the Ride Millennium will be available for $110. Additionally, a follow-up women’s colorway of the Ride Millennium is expected to launch shortly after the initial release.

Visuals that Speak Volumes

The collection’s visual appeal is reinforced by striking imagery that captures the essence of urban culture and the dynamic spirit of its wearers. With visually captivating sneaker photography and adventurous campaign videos, Snipes emphasizes not only the aesthetic appeal of these sneakers but also their functional aspects.

This collaboration between Snipes and Saucony highlights the growing trend of lifestyle-driven sneaker culture, where performance footwear meets urban style, creating a cross-section that appeals to both sneaker enthusiasts and fashion aficionados alike. So, whether you’re planning on hitting the streets or just looking to elevate your casual ensemble, the City Lights collection promises to be a must-have.
